Passenger attempt "to take own life" in flight

An Eva Air flight BR67 from Bangkok, Thailand to London, UK landed in London Heathrow airport last March 15, 2024 was met by emergency services due to a suspected suicide attempt.

It was discovered when cabin crew was preparing the cabin arrival when passenger collapsed near the toilets at the back of the Boeing 777. An off duty paramedic on the flight assisted with the onboard emergency where the resuscitation kit, AED, life saving equipment, and drugs were used. 

A statement from EVA air read: 'During the descent of EVA Air's flight no. BR67 from Bangkok to London Heathrow on 15th March, a passenger was found in one of the bathrooms, where it was suspected that he had made a suicide attempt. 

'With the assistance of EVA Air's flight attendants and a medically qualified passenger on board, the affected passenger was immediately given first aid treatment. 

'On the flight's arrival in London at 7.03pm, the passenger was transported to the hospital for further treatment by medical personnel, and the matter was passed to the police for a follow-up investigation.'
