Severe turbulence damages aircraft cabin and injures 1

Qatar airways flight QR1499 from Doha to Tanzania on May3, 2024 suffered severe turbulence over Somalia.

Passengers reported that the encounter caused damage in the aircraft cabin and at least injuring one person on board. Paramedics met the flight on arrival in JRO, Mount Kilimanjaro airport in Tanzania and at least one passenger was taken to NBO hospital in Nairobi.
