On May 5, 2024, a British Airways flight BA158 from Bermuda to London was accelerating for take off on Bermuda's runway 12 when the tower controller canceled the take off clearance due to a bomb threat.
The Boeing 777-200 reg G-VIIN was isolated in Bermuda airport's remote stand and the BA158 near an RAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft. Passengers and crew had to wait for an hour for services to arrive as another bomb threat was made in the passenger terminal.
Once the local authorities have given the all clear, the flight was rescheduled to depart the next day, Monday the 6th of May 2024.

The flight took a full 57 minutes from the take off clearance being cancelled to evacuate the flight via airstairs and was gathered under the Royal Air Force C-17.
Understandably, this is an unprecedented event which thankfully did not result in the loss of life. The pilots did a good job in pushing for the services and so did the Bermuda ATC in remaining calm and on point.
The authorities however might need to review processes and policy with handling bomb threats that require immediate evacuation. 57 minutes is a long time to take action for a bomb threat.
