Philippine Airlines grinds to a halt UPDATED


Manila, Philippines -- Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has cancelled all of its domestic flights on March 15 and has now extended the cancellations to international flights from March 20, 2020 until April 12, 2020. 

The cancelled flights are departing from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Other international airports have minimal or no flights due to the ongoing extended lockdown in the country. 

UPDATED: The Philippine government has retracted the 72 hour deadline for international flights which takes effect on Friday, March 20. This statement was made on March 17 in Manila


This means travellers in the Philippines can depart anytime with the extended travel
period.
